Jelly Roll Divorce Settlement – Inside the Surprisingly Sweet Deal Bunnie Xo Is Walking Away With

A celebrity divorce that concludes with both parties praising one another in vlogs, podcasts, and concert speeches rather than in a well-crafted press release is truly peculiar. That’s precisely what happened when Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo announced their breakup in May 2026. Depending on your point of view, what has emerged since then has been either refreshingly mature or almost suspiciously tidy.

On May 18, Jelly Roll filed for divorce, listing May 9 as the separation date and citing irreconcilable differences. Bunnie claimed that she told him to “file the divorce papers,” and it appears that he did, following a fight on Mother’s Day. The settlement was completed in about two to three weeks. No protracted legal battle, no asset dispute in public. The majority of celebrity divorces never find a peaceful solution.

The Tennessee compound is the most talked-about aspect of the settlement. On her Dumb Blonde podcast, Bunnie disclosed that Jelly Roll is giving her the expansive property they built together over the previous year, which consists of three houses and a sizable barn. It probably matters that he decided to give it to her because it’s the kind of place that obviously had significance for both of them. She said, “He knows how special it is to me,” and it sounded more like a sincere gesture than a legal concession. According to reports, her friends Meme Shahan and Hailee Clark are also relocating to the compound with their pets, giving the entire setup a communal, almost deliberate feel.

This particular split is unique not only because of the settlement’s generosity but also because of the atmosphere surrounding it. From a concert stage, Jelly Roll spoke about their split, telling the audience that they are still best friends, that there was no adultery, and that he was thankful for ten years spent together. This was publicly echoed by Bunnie, who said that their marriage was “ending with love.” It’s uncommon to find that kind of language in regular relationships, let alone ones that are being watched by the media.

The two still intend to have a child together, which is another detail that somehow manages to surprise even those who have been following the story closely. Bunnie has been publicly discussing their IVF journey for a while, and it seems that they are still working toward co-parenting. It is the kind of thing that is difficult to classify. It doesn’t fit the description of a happy marriage, but it also doesn’t fit the description of a painful divorce. Perhaps it fits the narrative of two individuals who have sincerely decided to redefine their relationship.

Not everyone agrees with the story. The divorce was described as a publicity stunt by comedian Nicole Arbour, who has a long-running and highly visible feud with Jelly Roll. Arbour claimed that the two are planning to “launch something” and are strategically using the media attention. Arbour has previously made grave accusations against Jelly Roll, including filing a police report; however, Nashville Metro Police confirmed that no charges were brought, and an insider said that Arbour’s claims were unfounded. She may be genuinely skeptical of the divorce, or it might be a result of the long-standing resentment she has harbored. Most likely both.

As the emotional and legal ramifications of the split become more apparent, it is still unclear whether the public’s goodwill will endure. Even a friendly divorce has a tendency to become more difficult over time. However, as this is happening, it seems like Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo are doing something that most couples find difficult to do: ending something while preserving the aspects of it that they truly cherished. It probably depends on who you ask whether that’s praiseworthy, out of the ordinary, or just Nashville’s most peculiar couple doing what they’ve always done—being difficult to classify.

Sierra has a strong, deep connection to Kansas City, from the neighborhoods east of Troost to the discussions that take place in the city hall halls. Sierra, who is presently enrolled at the University of Kansas to pursue a degree in Political Science, applies the rigor of academic study to her journalism. She writes about politics in Missouri and Kansas as someone who genuinely cares about what happens to the people in these communities—the policies that impact them, the leaders who represent them, and the civic forces influencing their futures—rather than as an outsider watching from a distance. Her editorial coverage encompasses state-level policy, local government, and the national political currents that permeate bi-state regional life. Whether it's a city council vote or a Senate race, she has a special gift for turning complex policy language into writing that feels urgent, relatable, and worthwhile. Sierra seldom sits still off the page. She claims that playing soccer on a regular basis has sharpened her instincts for political reporting because of the sport's teamwork, strategy, and requirement to read a changing game in real time. She's probably somewhere in Kansas City with her friends when she's not writing or on the pitch, discovering new reasons to adore a city she already knows so well.
